The Writers' Retreat

Bostic, North Carolina, USA

Enjoy fresh air and a breathtaking mountain sunrise while you sip your coffee on the deck. Deer Mountain Writer's Retreat will allow you to recapture your writing spirit and peace of mind. As you relax in the rocking chairs, experience unspoiled beauty, diverse wildlife, cool breezes, seclusion and solitude. The Fall Colors are spectacular, but the Spring and Summer Colors are just as breathtaking. Concord, Chardonnay and Merlot Grapes grow on the grounds surrounding the cabin along with various fruit trees for your pleasure.

The Deer Mountain Writer's Retreat is located in Bostic, North Carolina and situated on seven acres. The retreat is in the Golden Valley township, a community which acquired its name during the North Carolina gold rush in 1828. Bostic is also where the Lincoln Center is located, that offers substantial evidence that our 16th president Abraham Lincoln was born, not in Kentucky, but on Puzzle Creek near Bostic, North Carolina. Bostic is also home to Bestselling author Kay Hooper.
