Ojochal, Costa Rica
The Ojochal Retreat in South Costa Rica offers writers and artists quiet living space in a paradisiacal setting. On one side of the retreat, residents can admire the ocean view at one kilometer away while on the other side, they can enjoy the mountain views.
The retreat is a compound of ten charming villas sprawled on twelve lush green acres of fruit trees and exotic flowers. Privacy is the key to this retreat so residents can enjoy time alone in a very secure environment.
There's a spacious rancho and a swimming pool where one can relax, write, read or gather with fellow residents.
All villas have a private terrace, and five units include a kitchenette and air conditioning. The on-site Internet Café is open to all residents seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. High-speed coming soon.

There's a swimming pool, laundry facilities, an internet Café, restaurant/bar service, on-site car rentals, beach accessories, and a shuttle to the beach and to the village of Ojochal.
You'll find a a grocery store and a bakery in Ojochal. Once a week, a chicken and produce dealer offers home delivery. The village offers a wide variety of cuisine. You may select from Québec, Belgian, French, Costa Rican and, American restaurants.
Your hosts Renée Lévesque and Pierre Beaupré are originally from Québec, Canada. As they traveled through many countries, they discovered a truly exceptional region well renowned for the exuberance of its biodiversity, the largest concentration in the world and… fell in love with its sheer beauty. Renée and Pierre warmly welcome artists and writers of all genres.

HOW TO REACH DIQUIS DEL SUR RETREAT?
1) The easiest way from San Jose.
1.1) Contact EASYRIDE at www.easyridecr.com or call 506 258 5373, 506 256 6221, cell 506 812 4012
1.2) EasyRide will pick you up at your hotel (8 a.m.) and bring you at Diquis Del Sur Retreat in Ojochal. The price is $30/person ($25 to Dominical + $5 from Dominical to Ojochal).
2) The quickest way to reach Diquis Del Sur Retreat is by air travel. Each day, the SANSA Company has a flight departing from San José at 9:30 AM, going to Palmar Sur (30 minutes from Diquis Del Sur Retreat). Traveling time is 50 minutes.
2.1) You must reserve your airline seat before leaving directly on SANSA Web site: www.flysansa.com A one-way ticket costs $71 (including taxes) and $140 round-trip ticket.
2.2 ) You may want to spend the night at a Hotel near San Jose Airport. Ask your travel agent to reserve for you. Airfare is approximately the same as above.
2.3) Barring an unforeseen event or mishap, we will pick you up in Palma Sur. If we are unable to make it, please grab a cab to Del Sur Retreat in Ojochal.

Payment terms: To guarantee your Costa Rica reservation, you will be confirmed upon receipt of 50% deposit payable by Visa or Master Card. Balance is due upon arrival by travelers' check or cash - ATM's are available in Ojochal. All currency is in US dollars.
Cancellation policy: Cancellation policy: If at least 30 days prior, deposit will be refunded less $50 administrative fee. Cancellations under thirty days or no show will not receive a refund. Trip cancellation insurance is strongly advised and can be obtained through your travel agent.
