OPTIONS

1) NEW; the easiest way from San Jose.

1.1)  Contact  EASYRIDE at www.easyridecr.com or call 506 258 5373, 506 256 6221, cell 506 812 4012

1.2)  EasyRide will pick you up at your hotel (8 a.m.) and bring you at Diquis Del Sur Retreat in Ojochal.  The price is $30/person ($25 to Dominical + $5 from Dominical to Ojochal).

2)  The quickest way to reach Diquis Del Sur Retreat is by air travel. Each day, the SANSA Company has a flight departing from San José at 9:30 AM, going to Palmar Sur  (30 minutes from Diquis Del Sur Retreat). Traveling time is 50 minutes.

2.1) You must reserve your airline seat before leaving directly on SANSA Web site: www.flysansa.com  A one-way ticket costs $71 (including taxes) and $140 round-trip ticket.

2.2 ) You may want to spend the night at a Hotel near San Jose Airport. Ask your travel agent to reserve for you. Airfare is approximately the same as above.

2.3) Barring an unforeseen event or mishap, we will pick you up in Palma Sur. If we are unable to make it, please grab a cab to Del Sur Retreat in Ojochal.

3 ) Most flights arrives in San José early afternoon. If you wish to reach Diquis Del Sur Retreat in Ojochal on the very same day:

3.1) Take a taxi to MUSOC Terminal. MUSOC buses only go to San Isidro (Perez Zeledon). For less than $3, enjoy a tree-hour journey in the mountains (one stop mid-way). The view is spectacular and the buses are comfortable.

3.2) From San Isidro (Perez Zeledon), take a taxi. Ask for Ojochal or Tortuga (same intersection). It will take a little over one hour and costs approximately $35. As soon as you reach Dominical , Diquis Del Sur signposts will show you the way towards the retreat.

4) If you drive a rental car and wish to go to Ojochal on your own, beware that this option is recommended for seasoned travelers only, familiar with South American roads.

Itinerary:

4.1) From the airport, travel towards San José.

4.2) From San José to Cartago, go through the city of San José following a west-east direction.

4.3) From Cartago, drive to San Isidro (Perez Zeledon); make sure to follow routa 2 (Inter-Americana Sur).

4.4) Go from San Isidro to Dominical

4.5) From Dominical, drive to Ojochal, Tortuga.

You can also find your way to Ojochal, driving from the Airport to the City of Atenas, then Orotina, and travel along the Pacific Coast. However, unless you drive a 4x4, we cannot recommend such a route because of the terrible road between Quepos and Dominical.
